Beginning his career as an EMT-Basic and advancing to a Paramedic\, Doug has dedicated 33 years to the field\, including specialized roles in critical care transport and 20 years as a Firefighter Paramedic in South Snohomish County. His commitment to public safety extended into law enforcement\, serving as a City Police Officer in Southwest Washington. \n\n\n\nAn esteemed educator\, Doug has taught Advanced Cardiac Life Support\, Pediatric Advanced Life Support\, and Basic Life Support for the American Heart Association. Expanding his instructional repertoire\, he recently added Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC-MP) and Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) under the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT). \n\n\n\nDoug’s martial arts journey spans three decades\, exploring disciplines from Karate to Wing Chun and Northern Shaolin Kung Fu\, culminating in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu. As an instructor in Wing Chun and Bujinkan\, he blends traditional martial arts with practical defense strategies. \n\n\n\nFurther diversifying his skill set\, Doug is certified in home defense and emergency medicine under the NRA and USCCA\, alongside a foundation in bushcraft and survival. \n\n\n\nIn 2018\, Doug founded Blue Dragon Strategies LLC to share his wealth of knowledge with both professionals and civilians.
